ASTROHN Technology Ltd. is developing a train inspection system
AstroBottom-21 television screening system by ASTROHN Technology Ltd is intended for round-the-clock use in security systems for remote television screening of the bottoms of railway cars and locomotives in order to detect abnormal items, as well as violators trying to illegally cross the checkpoint area.
- Main functions of the system:
- high-definition video recording of the car or locomotive bottom;
- entering the information into the database;
- online search in the database by vehicle number, date, and time.
The system can be installed at railway checkpoints to protected areas. It visually controls the bottom of wagons and locomotives of railway transport, from the railroad bed side.
To inspect cars and locomotives from below, a TV module with a built-in high-speed camera and illuminators is installed and fixed on the sleepers between the rails.
The system is used as an autonomous television inspection system for rail rolling stock but can also operate at remote workstations – local-network computers, in the mode of viewing current images and searching for records.
The operator can use the general view of the bottom to visually check the vehicles for foreign objects. There is an option of a more detailed inspection of any part of the image of the general view of the bottom.
Powerful LED backlights provide high-quality color images in both day and night conditions. The LED illumination also provides a confident view of contaminated low-reflective vehicle components.
The backlight is turned on automatically (distance sensors) when the vehicle approaches the module at a distance of 1 meter, the backlight is turned off when the vehicle moves away from the module at a distance of 1 meter, which significantly saves energy and increases the service life of the backlight system.
The module can be installed directly on the railroad bed with fastening to the sleepers.
