Safety zone – always and everywhere

We got used to the fact that a car with a thermal imager is a premium option for night driving.

However, there are many areas where installing a thermal imager on a car or train would make the driver’s life extremely easy. These are very laborious, “earthly” applications. For example, slag carriers, which are used in steel-making industries to receive liquid slag discharged from a furnace and transport it to processing sites, to a dump or a granulation plant. Such a thermal imager will assist the driver when reversing, to monitor the situation during unloading of molten slag. It will be used in combination with a car recorder for archive recording and with a traditional car monitor.

Safety zone – always and everywhere

ASTROHN Technology Ltd. has developed such a thermal imager for any car or other type of vehicle (for example, a railway car). The thermal imager monitor is installed in the driver’s cab. Powered by onboard voltage 12V. The video recorder can run up to 4 devices per vehicle or train.

Of course, such a thermal imager can be installed on any car, which may appeal to those who are really concerned with the difficulties of driving at night or in fog rather than with the “luxury” outfit. That accident statistics show that driving at night increases the risk of accidents 2 times compared to driving in the daytime.
