ASTROHN Technology Ltd put into operation a clean roomadmin
As is known, a clean room is a special technical area with a controlled amount of particles per unit volume of air and maintained temperature and humidity. The permissible concentration and size of polluting particles is maintained within the process requirements for the production of photo-receiving detectors, precision mechanics, and optics systems. Our clean production facilities are designed and built using air purification and climate control systems that minimize the intake, generation, and accumulation of particles inside the premises. The basis of architectural and construction decisions when creating clean rooms was the principle of building a “room in a room”. A clean room consists of a space limited by the sealed elements of the enclosing structures, the transitions between the clean zones are equipped with gateways with an air shower system.
We previously reported that since 2016, ASTROHN Technology Ltd has mastered the production of uncooled matrix photoreceivers (UMPR). Since 2016, all thermal imaging security devices have been manufactured at the enterprise on the basis of ASTROHN-38425-1 and ASTROHN-64025-1 in-house microbolometric detectors with 17 μm sensitive element pitch. The UMPR has an array of microbolometers in the form of a two-dimensional matrix of elementary detectors located in the focal plane, with a matrix format of 384×288 elements (ASTROHN-38417-1), and 640×480 elements (ASTROHN-64017-1). The UMPR is made in the LCC (Leadless chip Carrier) case made of vacuum-dense ceramic.
Until recently, part of the process operations in the production of ASTROHN UMPR was carried out in cooperation with the involvement of “pure-play foundry” enterprises aimed at custom-made semiconductor production. After the commissioning of in-house clean rooms and the corresponding equipment, ASTROHN Technology Ltd individually performs most of the process operations.
The clean rooms launched in November comply with ISO 6, ISO 7, and ISO 8. The certification of cleanrooms is currently underway.
