October 17-19, 2018, the 16th exhibition on electronics, components, equipment, and technologies “ChipEXPO-2018” was held at Expocenter CEC.

ASTROHN Technology Ltd participated in the project “Novelties of Electronics Manufacturers” and demonstrated the first domestic uncooled microbolometric detector – ASTROHN-64017(38417). The detector was developed according to domestic technology with a sensitive vanadium oxide (Vox) element. It operates in the infrared spectrum with a wavelength of 7-14 µm and a full frame frequency of 60 Hz. The average pixel response time constant is 15 milliseconds. The resolution of the matrix is both low (384×288 pixels) and high (640×480 pixels). The weight of the detector is only 8 grams with dimensions of the porcelain-fused-to-metal case 24×24×3 mm.

Based on this detector, the engineers of ASTROHN Technology Ltd developed ASTROHN 640A17(384) thermal imaging module, which was also presented at ChipEXPO-2018.

Thus, equipping this product with ASTROHN infrared lenses with commercially available 20 to 275 mm focal lengths allows getting the final product – a thermal imager for video surveillance and protection of perimeters, surrounding territories, continuously operating in difficult climatic conditions. Such products are widely needed by specialists in the military industry, law enforcement, civil defense, as well as monitoring of terrain and specially protected objects.

Within the framework of the import substitution program, the microcryogenic division of ASTROHN Technology Ltd presented new domestic cooling systems for cooled thermal imaging equipment in the range of 3-5 µm. Domestic MCSs are not inferior in their characteristics to their foreign counterparts and are interchangeable, however, are more competitive than foreign analogs in their final cost and in the absence of sanctions.

The 2018 exhibition was attended by 249 companies from Russia, Germany, Great Britain, China, Belgium, Canada, Latvia, Belarus, and the Netherlands.

The exhibition area was 8000 m2. More than 6,000 specialists visited the exhibition and the business program during 3 days. The exhibition was traditionally held at Expocenter, in the Forum pavilion.
