ASTROHN Technology Ltd at the XXV International Scientific and Technical Conference on Photoelectronics and Night Vision Devices
The State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation Orion NPO, JSC, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, State Corporation Russian Technologies, Schwabe JSC, Russian Academy of Sciences, RFBR, Government of Moscow, D.S. Rozhdestvenskii Optical Society held the 25th Anniversary International Scientific and Technical Conference on and training in photoelectronics and night vision devices on May 24, 25, and 26, 2018.
Conference topics:
Traditionally, the members of the program committee included representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Rostec State Corporation, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, N.E. Bauman MSTU. The 25th International Scientific and Technical Conference on Photoelectronics and Night Vision Devices was held at the production site of Schwabe Holding. The event, which was attended by more than 500 people from Russia, China and neighboring countries, lasted until May 26. The anniversary conference was devoted to new directions and the latest achievements of science. As part of the program, participating enterprises presented their latest developments.
This year the event was attended by twice as many participants as two years ago. Speakers were more than 300 people from Russia, China, Azerbaijan, and Belarus. On the third, final day, another 200 participants arrived – young scientists, employees of production enterprises, as well as undergraduates and graduate students from leading universities: Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, N.E. Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Moscow Polytechnic Institute, MIREA, etc.
The conference was opened by the general director of Orion NPO – Evgenii Chepurnov. He noted that “As a leading Russian company in the development of photoelectronics, we have created a single space and discussion platform where experts from different countries can discuss the present and future of this industry. We are glad that for a quarter century of its existence, the conference has not only retained its relevance, but also continue increasing its practical significance every year.”
The even consisted of six main zones and 100 poster presentations. The discussion platform was opened by leading scientists of the State Scientific Center of Orion NPO with a speech on the current state and trends of photoelectronics.
Later, during the conference, representatives of Sapfir Moscow plant spoke about the industrial technology for the production of indium antimonide photodiodes, cryostatting systems for photodetectors, thermal imaging devices for smartphones, digital night vision technology and highly sensitive television cameras. Delegates of S.I. Vavilov State Optical Institute Scientific and Production Association made a report on industrial technologies for the manufacture of crystalline and polycrystalline materials for the production of optical and structural elements of optoelectronics. On behalf of the Schwabe Holding, specialists of S.A. Zverev Krasnogorsk Plant, Polus Research Institute, State Institute of Applied Optics and the Ural Optical and Mechanical Plant also delivered a speech. During the conference, an exhibition of scientific and technological achievements of the participating enterprises was organized.
The conference program included speech and poster presentations. ASTROHN Technology Ltd presented an information stand with its developments, and employees presented a poster – “Current State and Market Trends of Microbolometers”.
The report noted that the need for the development and mass production of domestic thermal imaging photoreceivers became especially urgent after the ban on their supplies from abroad. In 2016, ASTROHN Technology Ltd started production of microbolometric detectors cased in vacuum-tight domestic ceramics VK-94. It was possible to significantly increase the PR sensitivity (up to 40 mK) and to begin mass production of microbolometers operating in the traditional range of 8-14 µm. Since 2016, all thermal imaging devices for security systems have been manufactured at the enterprise on the basis of in-house Astron-38425-1 and Astron-64025-1 microbolometric detectors with a sensor element size of 25 μm. In 2017, the production of microbolometric detectors with a sensor element size of 17 μm was launched.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the conference, its participants planted a commemorative maple avenue on the territory of the enterprise.
