ASTROHN-2A thermal imaging security systems are certified in accordance with the requirements for transport safety technical means. And it can be used to equip any transport facility: railway lines, stations and transfer hubs, ports, roads, bridges, transport and energy distribution systems, customs checkpoints, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.

The implementation of mandatory certification in transport security (TS) has been discussed for several years.
In accordance with par. 8 Art. 12.2 Federal Law No. 16-FZ of February 9, 2007, (as amended on July 13, 2015) “On Transport Security”, “Technical means of ensuring transport security (systems and means of signaling, access control, inspection, video surveillance, audio and video recordings) communications, alerts, collection, processing, reception and transmission of information intended for use at transport infrastructure facilities and vehicles in order to ensure transport safety) are subject to mandatory certification”.
Since March 2017, Resolution No. 969 came into force, signed by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation D.A. Medvedev. According to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 969 of September 26, 2016, all technical means of transport safety must be tested and, according to their results, obtain a certificate of a special department.
ASTROHN-2A thermal imaging modules are the basic elements of a distributed system for protecting the railway track and railway facilities from security threats. ASTROHN-2A includes the latest advances in thermal imaging surveillance and video analysis. ASTROHN-2A thermal imaging module is a completely ready-made unit installed on the supports of the contact network and connected to the information collection and processing system (ICPS) via the fiber optic data transmission network. A special mount on the support eliminates the oscillation of the thermal imaging modules during the passage of high-speed trains and does not affect the built-in intelligent video analysis system. The modules were developed based on the significant experience in operating ASTROHN-type thermal imaging systems for the protection of extended facilities of Gazprom JSC and Russian Railways PJSC. ASTROHN-2A has been mass-produced since 2009. By 2016, more than 3,000 ASTROHN-2A thermal imaging modules are in continuous operation.
The devices operate continuously, 365 days a year. Post-marketing services include warranty and post-warranty service in one of the 3 regional service centers of ASTROHN Technology Ltd.
